Sonny grows up

This is a pic that I drew...but colored in PS ( I'm still trying to get the hang of it!). You can see Sonny grow up right before your eyes! (with cute lil' chibi Sonnys dancing around! LOL!). Like I told my buddy Shadowcat, I've got Sonny on the brain right now! Not sure who Sonny is? Well, there's a bunch o' piccies dedicated to my TMNT fanchara all over this joint, so feel free to peruse my gallery (I think there's one there) and my scraps (there's a couple o' her there!).

From L to R: Sonny age 8, Sonny age 11 and lastly, adult Sonny at 25 (which is how old she is during my TMNT fancomic spin-off "Future Tense Saga").

Also, as promised, I will add in a bit o' Sonny's personal history here for my buddy Shadocat (or for any of you folks out there who care...LOL)...

AS BRIEF AS I CAN PUT IT:

Sonny is a product of the EPF. She was created female for one purpose alone: Infiltrate, seduce and destroy the TMNT from the inside! However, April got "wind" of a disarming plot of the EPF, so the TMNT and Ro (who by this point was a homicide detective named Rowan Rodriguez) ran off to London to find out what was up. What they found were a lot of dead scientists and an 8 year old female turtle. Taking her back to NYC, they soon discovered that she was the cloned hybrid of Leonardo and Rowan with the help of some alien DNA that was used to create Bishop's "aliens" for his staged invasion~the same DNA that caused Donatello's secondary mutation (she's part Rowan 'cause they wanted to give her a psychic ability to which they were marginally successful). It was decided that she'd stay with the TMNT in the hopes that they could undo some of her "conditioning" (I think if she were older, they might not have chosen this course of action...but since she was still young and a turtle...they decided to "give it a go").

While she was young, things went relatively well for Sonny. Leo started training her in ninjitsu (which was good for Sonny 'cause being part reptilian and part mamalian left her with a blood condition) who took on the mantel of serrogate father. However, when she started to erm, shall we say "develop"...things got a little tense around the lair. Sonny started to feel quite uncomfortable in her own skin and wore baggy clothes to cover up her figure. She was also made uncomfotable due to the change that she felt in her "uncles". They began looking at her....differently. She wasn't naieve to it all, afterall, she was trained in the art of seduction from a very young age (possibly leaving behind some emotional trauma?) via the KAMA SUTRA. As a result, she left the lair and lived with her "mum", her mum's husband and her younger, human "half-brother".

Soon, (by 18) she met, by what in all appearances seemed to be chance, Nigel Takamura. Nigel was a half-British, half-Japanese world-class assassain who had heard of the "killing machine" created by the EPF through his own channels in the underworld. He wanted her. But how does one convince a creature who is considered to be a "bioweapon" to join up with your ranks? Knowing that she was female, Nigel used his gift for seducing women. So it happened that one night, Sonny simply disappeared. Unknown to her fretting family, Sonny had erronously taken Nigel as her lover and with him, started the Seven Dragon Assassination Squad. The SDAS became one of the most feared names in the criminal underworld, Nigel using that to amass the power needed to achieve his ultimate goal: the take over of the Yakuza. With Sonny's help (who had become known as the "Dragon Queen") he assumed power and became the most ruthless Yakuza boss in Japan's history...with Sonny as his second-in-command!

It wasn't long before Sonny got a dose of reality! After four years with Nigel, he informed her that he had accepted a contract on the lives of the TMNT...her family! In mere moments, Sonny re-evaluated her priorities and refused to help the man who had given her an engagement ring (which honestly, meant nothing to Nigel. He simply gave her the bauble in order to keep the proverbial blinders pulled over her eyes! Nigel was a JERK...big time! He constantly cheated on Sonny and told her about it saying plainly that because she was an "abomination of nature" there was no way that he could remain faithful to her, though he prized her above all!). As a result, he immediately cast Sonny out of his inner circle and tried to have her killed...and nearly succeeded in doing so!

She promptly fled back to NYC, told her disappointed family everything and with their help took Nigel and his crew out.
